Our Story
Developing Local Bamboo Expertise & Craftsmanship
Kiri Bamboo was first envisioned in 2016 by Oleg Nashchekin after he noticed the growing interest in bamboo both locally and worldwide and felt a strong desire to contribute to the green movement. Over the years, the Kiri Bamboo team has built indispensable expertise in working with bamboo, blending local knowledge with international know‑how.
Our milestones
Growing bamboo mastery through the years
Inception (2016 - 2017)
Exploring Cambodia’s bamboo scene and identifying the right people and location of future operation.
Deep Dive (2018 - 2019)
Traveling to Thailand and Myanmar to enhance and train the team’s bamboo expertise.
Establishment (2020-2021)
Registering the business and building the treatment facility and manufacturing workshop.
Growth (2022 - Present Days)
Executing a diverse range of bamboo projects and jobs while continuing to develop bamboo craftsmanship skills.

The Impact

We create bamboo‑crafting jobs for impoverished villagers who struggle to support their families and are forced to seek work outside their communities in big cities or abroad. By establishing a bamboo workshop in rural areas, Kiri Bamboo helps locals stay close to their roots while earning a stable income.
